Role overview
This position focuses on gathering, refining, and supporting delivery of business and system requirements so teams can achieve business objectives. The role works across stakeholders and development teams to understand needs, translate them into clear specifications, and help guide implementation. A solid grasp of the business or technical domain and the major applications in that area is expected. Familiarity with Jira and Jira Service Management is important for supporting functional and integration requirements.
Core responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to understand the business problem and shape a practical solution.
- Collect, organize, and manage functional, non-functional, and technical requirements from stakeholder requests.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, technical teams, and business partners to define priorities and align on solutions.
- Apply domain knowledge to support decisions on scope and requirements.
- Assess the impact of application changes, identify integration touchpoints, and contribute to end-to-end solution design.
- Verify that application changes follow bank standards and internal policies.
- Coordinate with vendors on application changes so requirements are met, including support for acceptance testing when needed.
- Assist end users and developers with testing and troubleshooting, and help plan tests or set up test solutions when required.
- Create and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and workflows tied to applications.
- Take part in continuous improvement efforts to refine processes and solutions.
- Support or lead requirements sessions and stakeholder demonstrations.
- Develop, update, and deliver training material for end users.
Technical and functional requirements
- Strong experience gathering workflow or process-automation-related business requirements.
- Working knowledge of Jira or Jira Service Management, or the ability to learn the platform quickly.
- Strong experience expressing requirements as epics and user stories.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
- Ability to present requirements visually using flowcharts, process maps, diagrams, decision trees, mockups/wireframes, and relationship maps.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred experience
- Experience implementing or documenting requirements for Jira or Jira Service Management.
- Exposure to cybersecurity-related workflows, solutions, or implementations.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, ideally in Agile, Kanban, or Scrum environments.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a salary range of $95,000 to $120,000 per year. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science is required.
