Business Analyst Support, IN Consumer Inputs

About the role

We are looking for a customer-focused, adaptable, analytical, and execution-oriented Business Analyst to support Amazon’s consumer inputs space. The role is suited to someone who is passionate about e-commerce, comfortable working across engineering and business functions, and motivated by solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage long-running, challenging initiatives across multiple teams, operate effectively in ambiguity, and pay close attention to detail. You should bring strong business judgment, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently while owning outcomes end to end. This position also offers the chance to generate new ideas, approaches, and solutions in a highly competitive and constantly evolving business setting.

Key responsibilities

• Understand Amazon seller services products and services, and monitor business performance as well as issue areas through the right metrics.
• Partner with account management teams to resolve seller-related issues.
• Use Amazon internal tools to investigate problems and verify proposed solutions.
• Collaborate on defining goals tied to important operational metrics.
• Use analytical findings to suggest business actions, including the creation of new metrics, methods, and strategies to improve seller performance.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in data analytics or automation.
• At least 1 year of experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis, or a related function.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Working knowledge of data pipelining and extraction through SQL.
• Moderate to advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel.
• Experience using data mining tools such as SQL, SAS, SPSS, or comparable tools.
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.
• Comfort with ambiguity, self-direction, and accountability in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred skills

• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R.
• Scripting skills.
• Advanced MS Excel usage.
• Experience with table joins.
• Ability to work with aggregate analytical functions.
