About the company
Arvato is a globally active and forward-looking 3PL provider focused on supply chain management and e-commerce. With around 20,000 employees across more than 100 locations, the business serves customers in Consumer Products, Tech, Healthcare, Automotive, and Publishing.
You will join a workplace built on collaboration, respect, commitment, and curiosity, where people are encouraged to grow, contribute ideas, and help shape global supply chains. Working here means being part of a team that delivers logistics excellence with a shared mindset of “together, we’re on it”.
Role overview
This Business Analyst position is part of an international procurement team based in Gütersloh or Düren. The role is centered on cost transparency, efficiency improvement, and data-driven decision-making. You will take ownership of the global spend cube and savings tracker, challenge assumptions, and help improve procurement cost structures in a sustainable way.
What you will do
- Maintain visibility in the spend cube by tracking external costs across countries and commodity groups in a diverse environment.
- Consolidate international savings projects in the savings tracker, monitor the figures, report them to management, and validate the accuracy of analyses.
- Act as a discussion partner for procurement and leadership, helping prioritize projects with the strongest value potential.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and insights to answer questions on cost trends and support fact-based decisions.
- Review existing cost structures, propose new approaches, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Support efficiency improvements through better tools, stronger data models, and more automated analysis methods.
What we are looking for
- A degree in business, finance, controlling, or a similar field, or an equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on experience with common finance or BI tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SAP FI-CO/MM.
- Initial experience in cost analysis or controlling.
- Strong analytical thinking with the confidence to question assumptions and present complex topics clearly.
- Enjoyment in improving processes and preparing well-founded decisions.
- Good team spirit, strong communication skills, and interest in working in an international setting.
- Willingness to travel and excellent English skills.
What you can expect
- ArvatoCare: a free supplementary company health insurance plan with a generous health budget and no medical check.
- Flexible working arrangements with hybrid mobile-office options and adaptable working hours to support work-life balance.
- Growth and development opportunities through project management and data analytics training, internal learning formats, and mentoring from experienced colleagues.
- A digital, innovative environment with highly automated processes, modern tools, and openness to new ideas.
- An open team culture with direct communication, short decision paths, trust-based collaboration, feedback, appreciation, and a strong “we rather than me” mindset.
- Employee benefits such as Corporate Benefits, bike leasing, and subsidies including support for the Deutschlandticket.
