Business Analyst

Role overview

We are hiring a mid-level ITS Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to support technology initiatives delivered by external vendors as well as selected internal application work. In this role, you will lead requirement-gathering efforts, work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT partners, and help shape communication and training plans so new solutions are adopted successfully.

The position also includes production support responsibilities, such as investigating issues, reproducing defects, and coordinating with development and vendor teams to clarify bug behavior.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of business analysis activities on vendor-managed projects, including discovery meetings, workshops, and continued requirement clarification.
• Transform business needs into structured, testable deliverables such as BRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Work with vendor project managers and solution architects to align on scope, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests.
• Help design communication plans that define target audiences, key messages, delivery channels, and release cadence.
• Collaborate with business owners to build training plans, including training materials, scheduling, train-the-trainer support, and job aids.
• Support UAT planning and execution by preparing scripts, coordinating feedback, and tracking defects through resolution.
• Capture and refine requirements for enhancements to internal applications and smaller project efforts.
• Assist with production support by investigating issues, reproducing defects, documenting expected behavior, and preparing detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, logs, and business impact.

Qualifications

This role calls for 5+ years of experience in an IT/ITS Business Analyst position or in a closely related capacity such as systems analyst or product analyst.
