About the role
Alignerr is seeking current Biology Master’s students and graduates who can help train and assess advanced AI models used in the life sciences. This role is focused on bringing deep biological expertise into AI evaluation so the systems become more reliable, precise, and scientifically sound.
You’ll use your biology knowledge to influence how future AI tools interpret and solve complex scientific questions. No background in AI is required; what matters most is strong subject expertise and clear analytical thinking.

What you will do
- Create demanding, advanced biology prompts that thoroughly test AI capabilities.
- Write clear, logical, step-by-step solutions grounded in sound scientific reasoning.
- Review AI responses for correctness, reasoning quality, and depth of biological understanding.
- Work with researchers to improve evaluation benchmarks covering biology topics from undergraduate to Master’s level.
- Deliver structured written feedback that supports ongoing improvements to model quality.
Who we are looking for
- People who are currently studying for, or already hold, a Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Candidates with strong problem-solving ability and advanced reasoning across biology subjects.
- Applicants who can communicate complex scientific ideas clearly and concisely in writing.
- Individuals who are careful, self-directed, and comfortable working independently.
- No previous experience in AI or machine learning is necessary.
Nice to have
- Exposure to data annotation, quality review, or scientific peer-review work.
- Familiarity with large language models or AI evaluation processes.
- Experience across multiple biology areas such as molecular biology, ecology, or physiology.
