Role overview
The Auditor, QA/QC role supports quality assurance activities in Kenya, with responsibility for ensuring production quality, inspection readiness, factory compliance, and timely communication with internal teams and factories.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the quality assurance function for Kenya.
- Coordinate fit reviews, pre-production approvals, and pre-production meetings.
- Carry out inline checks and final inspections.
- Monitor production work-in-progress and escalate issues to Asia Leads and North America Leads.
- Share inspection outcomes for each production order with the head office.
- Inspect packaging materials, assembly, execution, and sticker application in full.
- Prepare and circulate daily quality inspection updates.
- Maintain work-in-progress records and tracking systems.
- Handle licensor and customer QA requirements with factories, including packing instructions.
- Perform factory audits and follow corrective action plans.
- Track approvals for color, bulk fabric, and trims.
- Support sample reviews and special requests from product development and design.
- Coordinate QA matters with factories, including packing instructions.
- Review reports and assist in resolving quality-related problems.
- Support compliance activities, onboarding, and corrective actions.
- Assist with vendor allocation and sourcing strategy coordination.
- Check and send official purchase orders to factories and update delivery dates in SAP.
- Work with sales teams on quantity, delivery, and direct shipment booking issues across HFC, CPO, and PO processes.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings hands-on quality assurance experience in the textile or garment sector, along with strong technical understanding of apparel construction, fabrication, trims, and print methods. The role requires a detail-focused professional who can juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly across teams.
Required skills and knowledge
- Practical experience in quality assurance or the textile industry
- Understanding of garment construction, fabric types, trims, and printing techniques
- Awareness of current QA/QC practices and standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe tools, and Excel
- Ability to work with factories and internal stakeholders
- Knowledge of inspection and audit processes
- Familiarity with SAP and production tracking workflows
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Textile or a related discipline is required.
