Job Summary
This junior sales engineering role is suited to someone with prior exposure to technical sales who can blend engineering understanding with commercial execution. The position focuses on handling lower to moderate complexity assignments, including progressing sales opportunities from enquiry to closure, developing interest in new offerings, and learning the business with limited day-to-day supervision.

Core Duties
- Build and deliver technical presentations that clearly explain the company’s products and services to customers.
- Work with customers and engineers to understand equipment needs and process system requirements.
- Partner with the sales team to capture customer expectations and provide pre-sales support.
- Develop qualified leads, follow up after first contact, renew and secure orders, negotiate pricing, close deals, and support logistics when needed.
- Study customer requirements and adapt products or solutions to better match their technical needs.
- Assist customers facing issues with installed equipment and recommend upgrades or improved alternatives.
- Collect customer feedback in the system, review patterns, and use the insights to shape sales and marketing approaches.
- Identify gaps or improvement areas and escalate practical solutions to management.
- Work toward assigned targets, quotas, and sales goals.
- Train team members on the technical aspects of products and services when required.
- Develop opportunities for long-term agreements and help secure extended contracts with customers.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
QHSE Responsibilities
- Follow HSE rules and regulations relevant to the role and seek guidance from a supervisor whenever expectations are unclear.
- Take part in QHSSE meetings and communicate health, safety, and environmental matters through the team.
- Actively work to correct unsafe conditions; if correction is not possible, promptly report the hazard to a supervisor.
- Ensure recommendations in HSE observation reports are addressed without delay.
- Maintain written records of incidents and make sure new joiners attend QHSSE induction with the HSE Officer.
- Know where emergency, spill-response, and personal protective equipment are kept and how to use them correctly.
- Monitor colleagues, especially new or less experienced workers, to help prevent unsafe actions.
- Participate actively in HSE meetings whenever needed.
- Refer to the OHSMS Manual, section 4.4.1, for more details on HSE roles, accountability, and authority.
Education and Certification
A bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Petrochemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering, or another related engineering discipline, is required.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of a broad product range such as heat transfer equipment, dosing pumps/skids, chemicals, activated carbon, and digitalization solutions.
- Prior experience in Qatar is preferred, along with a valid Qatar driving licence.
- Understanding of Qatar-specific permits, gate passes, and related regulatory procedures.
- Exposure to LNG, petrochemical, and refinery processes is highly desirable.
- Frequent customer-facing interaction is part of the job, with around 60% of the time spent with clients or at client sites.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal ability, customer service, and selling skills.
- Ability to present technical and commercial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences at different levels in the organisation.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous learning in both sales and engineering.
Experience and Other Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of experience in oil and gas process equipment sales and technology-related work is preferred.
- A valid Qatar driving licence is required.
- Transferable visa status is required.
