Role Summary

We are looking for an Associate Applied Researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence to join the Applied AI Research team in London. This position offers the chance to contribute across a range of AI and ML fields such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, time series analysis, and recommender systems, applying cutting-edge methods within the finance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to advance machine learning systems that are ready for production.
• Design, experiment, and evaluate innovative AI/ML software solutions.
• Write, test, and maintain reliable, production-quality codebases.
• Provide technical leadership by managing cross-team projects.
• Develop foundational libraries and frameworks for dependable, testable systems.
• Represent the firm at conferences and contribute to open-source AI communities.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in developing and sustaining large-scale Python applications.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or related fields.
• At least 1-3 years of hands-on AI/ML industry experience demonstrating expertise.
• Extensive software development experience supporting quantitative investment workflows in equities, fixed income, or multi-asset strategies.
