Position Overview
A prominent private credit secondaries firm based in New York City is seeking to expand its investment team with a skilled Analyst or Senior Analyst. The firm engages in various investment strategies including private credit secondaries, co-investments, fund-of-funds, and direct investments in both credit and equity, managing approximately $3 billion in assets under management. This role is crucial for evaluating and executing new investment prospects. The successful candidate will lead transaction workstreams, conduct in-depth fundamental analysis, manage due diligence, and present investment proposals to senior management. This is a significant opportunity within a focused, cooperative team, offering substantial responsibility, regular interaction with senior leadership, and the chance to shape the firm's investment strategies and portfolio development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, financial modeling, and credit analysis for prospective investments.
- Assist in structuring transactions, managing documentation, and coordinating with legal counsel and external advisors.
- Monitor the performance of current investments, track key metrics, and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver investment memos and recommendations for the Investment Committee.
- Provide support for reporting activities, tracking investment opportunities, and maintaining internal records and systems.
Qualifications
- Possess 1-2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private credit, secondaries, co-investments, or fund of funds.
- Demonstrate robust analytical capabilities and proficiency in financial modeling.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Show an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
