AI Engineering Lead

This opening is for an AI Engineering Lead on behalf of a client. The role is a full-time contract position focused on building the next generation of AI recruiting systems. You will help design, develop, and scale intelligent products that improve how companies discover, assess, and connect with talent.

Location and pay

This is a remote role and can be performed from anywhere. The compensation range is USD 160,000 to USD 300,000 per year.

What you will do

You will take ownership of scalable AI systems and the infrastructure needed to run them, using Python and AWS. The position also involves advancing multimodal AI capabilities, including systems that work with text, audio, video, and visual inputs.

You will work closely with product, research, and engineering stakeholders to turn business and technical needs into reliable solutions. A major part of the job is contributing to how AI models learn, reason, and perform across industries such as finance, healthcare, engineering, and others.

In addition, you will be hands-on with the client's AI recruiter product, Zara, helping build systems that are changing how organizations identify and engage talent.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have experience designing, building, and deploying scalable AI models and supporting infrastructure with Python and AWS. You should also be comfortable working with advanced LLMs and multimodal systems, and understand both their practical uses and their limits.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are important, along with the ability to work across teams and convert requirements into solid technical implementations. You should also bring strong problem-solving ability and the confidence to tackle complex technical challenges with creative solutions.
