Description de l'emploi

About Primer

Primer provides a single infrastructure layer for international payments. Its platform helps finance and payments teams reduce operational complexity, improve performance, and unlock additional revenue through one unified system.

The company is supported by Sofina, Peak XV Partners, ICONIQ, Tencent, Accel, and Balderton, and is developing the payments infrastructure used by leading businesses worldwide.

About the role

Primer is looking for a driven Account Executive to join the enterprise sales team and help accelerate revenue growth. In this position, you will take ownership of the full sales journey for the Primer product suite, working with strategic and enterprise customers across a range of industries.

You will use a consultative sales style to engage founders, CEOs, CTOs, CFOs, and VP- or director-level leaders. The role covers the full pipeline from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation and deal closure, while also contributing to customer strategy and wider revenue-focused initiatives with other teams.

This position sits within the Enterprise team, which handles both strategic and enterprise accounts and works closely with leaders from many different verticals to understand their business needs in depth.

Key responsibilities

  • Take charge of the complete sales cycle for enterprise accounts, from initial outreach through to closed deal.
  • Develop a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, relationship building, networking, and partnerships.
  • Create customized sales approaches that speak to key stakeholders and clearly show the value of Primer’s platform.
  • Work closely with Sales Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to support a strong buyer experience and share market feedback that helps shape the ideal customer profile and broader go-to-market strategy.
  • Help improve sales processes, playbooks, and team initiatives while staying current on payments trends and industry developments.
  • Use a consultative approach to uncover customer pain points and recommend effective solutions.
  • Keep accurate CRM records and deliver reliable sales forecasts.

Requirements

  • Experience selling into enterprise accounts, with a strong record of generating and closing large opportunities.
  • Ability to consistently perform at a high level and exceed targets.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, uncertain environments and a strong bias for action.
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to improve processes and establish best practices.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a genuine drive to close deals.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn continuously.
  • Interest in understanding customer challenges and how Primer can solve them.
  • Positive energy and a collaborative attitude.
  • Business-proficient Mandarin and English speaking ability.

Interview process

  • Introductory conversation with a Talent Partner.
  • Discussion with the Hiring Manager.
  • Role-specific challenge stage.
  • Final interview focused on values alignment.

Culture

Primer aims to build an environment where people can do their best work and feel proud of the results they deliver. The team is mission-driven, thoughtful, and highly engaged in creating strong products and successful outcomes for merchants.

The company has operated remotely from day one and believes performance is not tied to physical proximity. To support connection and collaboration, Primer invests in remote-first practices, workations, an annual company retreat, and access to co-working spaces in many major cities.

The work is demanding because scaleups and category-defining products are inherently challenging, but employees are supported through structured onboarding, collaborative teamwork, and a culture where people help each other succeed.

Benefits

  • Fully remote, globally distributed setup from the start.
  • Competitive equity through share options.
  • Unlimited vacation with a minimum requirement of 25 days off each year.
  • Access to co-working spaces in major cities.
  • Workations and a company retreat.
  • High-quality equipment for your role.
  • £500 for home office setup.
  • Generous learning and development budget.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Additional location-based perks and benefits.

Equal opportunity

Primer encourages people from all backgrounds to apply and is committed to fair treatment across all stages of employment. The company does not tolerate discrimination based on age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, or any other personal background or belief.

Application note

Applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not match every listed qualification, as Primer values diverse experiences and potential.
