Role Overview
Instrotec is looking for a dependable and proactive Warehouse Operative to join its team on a full-time basis in Trim, County Meath. The position is central to keeping project work moving by managing materials, preparing goods, and supporting logistics across multiple locations. The working schedule is 39 hours per week.
This is a practical, fast-moving warehouse and logistics role. The person hired will help make sure materials, equipment, and fabricated parts are organised correctly, prepared for dispatch, and delivered accurately and on schedule to support project teams on site. The work combines warehouse operations, light assembly of items such as brackets and support systems, inventory control, and deliveries to sites.
Key Duties
- Handle everyday warehouse tasks such as accepting incoming deliveries, checking them, and placing items into storage.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment to several project locations.
- Put together simple components, including brackets, supports, and small prefabricated pieces, when needed.
- Load and unload deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.
- Carry out deliveries to construction and client sites as required.
- Keep stock records accurate and help with stock checks and inventory counts.
- Maintain a tidy, well-organised warehouse that meets health and safety requirements.
- Help manage the flow of goods coming in and going out of the warehouse.
- Check materials for damage or defects and report any problems quickly.
- Support project teams by ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Follow company procedures, safety rules, and manual handling practices at all times.
- Assist with basic fabrication-related support tasks when required.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and site teams to help meet project deadlines.
Experience and Requirements
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or construction support environment is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of manual handling and safe lifting methods is needed.
- A forklift licence is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- A full clean driving licence is required for site deliveries.
- Some familiarity with construction materials or electrical/instrumentation parts would be beneficial.
- Strong accuracy and the ability to stay focused under pressure are important.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities are expected.
- A dependable, punctual, and self-driven attitude is essential.
