Role overview
This contract assignment is centered on auditing and improving two established skincare eCommerce stores running on WooCommerce. The websites serve customers in Germany and across Europe, and the main goal is to raise sales by lifting conversion rates and strengthening the shopping experience.
The work is not a complete visual redesign. Instead, the focus is on pinpointing and fixing the most important friction points around trust, credibility, site navigation, mobile performance, checkout, page speed, and calls to action. The selected professional should bring proven experience in WooCommerce conversion optimisation and user experience improvements, with a track record of producing measurable business results.
You will review the current stores, compare them with best-in-class eCommerce examples, and shape a practical plan that improves conversions while preserving the distinct identity of each brand.
Deliverables
- Carry out a thorough review of both WooCommerce sites, with emphasis on CRO and UX standards.
- Pinpoint and record the factors limiting trust, credibility, navigation quality, and conversion performance.
- Recommend practical changes to strengthen mobile responsiveness, streamline the checkout journey, and improve site speed.
- Propose updates to CTAs, product presentation, and the overall ease of use of the stores.
- Compare the existing websites with leading skincare eCommerce brands to identify useful benchmarks and ideas.
- Create a prioritised optimisation roadmap that explains the likely effect of each change on conversions.
- Share findings and recommendations in a clear, cooperative manner suitable for a long-term working relationship.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with WooCommerce, conversion rate optimisation, and eCommerce UX work.
- A portfolio or case studies showing clear, measurable gains in conversion performance.
- Solid knowledge of eCommerce best practices, particularly within skincare or consumer products.
- Ability to use analytics, heatmaps, and behavioural insight tools to understand user actions.
- Skill in turning findings into practical recommendations that fit each brand’s identity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus a collaborative working style.
- Availability to support a single project, with the possibility of more work later.
