This opportunity is being handled for a partner organization, which will oversee all applications and the following hiring steps. The employer is seeking a Technical Interviewer in Ireland.
In this role, you will assess and identify strong technology talent for a variety of technical positions. You will work in a fully remote, globally distributed setup and evaluate candidates across software development, cloud platforms, databases, and newer engineering stacks. The position blends technical depth with recruitment-focused judgment, giving you the chance to partner with hiring teams, technical experts, and business stakeholders. You will help strengthen talent pipelines by creating effective evaluation methods, running detailed interviews, and helping candidates have a smooth and positive experience. It is well suited to someone who enjoys both technology and talent assessment, with exposure to multiple technical areas and international hiring work.
Key accountabilities
- Carry out in-depth technical interviews with shortlisted candidates to judge their knowledge, skills, work history, and fit for client needs.
- Assess candidates on technologies such as software engineering, cloud services, databases, and current engineering practices.
- Work with recruitment and technical colleagues to build and maintain strong pipelines for different technical roles.
- Join intake discussions with stakeholders to clarify hiring priorities, technical expectations, and role details.
- Lead or assist with technical conversations involving clients and hiring managers when needed.
- Create, improve, and tailor interview questions, technical tests, and evaluation criteria for specific roles.
- Track new technologies and market trends so assessment methods stay current and effective.
- Deliver clear feedback and recommendations to support hiring choices and recruitment planning.
- Help improve technical screening processes and the standards used for candidate evaluation.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in technical recruitment, talent acquisition, or technical interviewing.
- At least 2 years of practical software development experience, with working knowledge of backend development, frontend technologies, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycles, engineering roles, technical skills, and industry best practices.
- Prior experience running technical interviews and using structured evaluation methods for candidates.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or comparable platforms.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and work collaboratively.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, ideally tools such as TeamTailor, Greenhouse, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.
- Background in outsourcing, outstaffing, or multinational companies is an advantage.
- Strong organization, project coordination, and time management skills are beneficial.
