Customers can save up to 70% on bookings, earn universal rewards points, and use the platform with more than 3,000 cryptocurrencies, debit and credit cards, and brand reward points. Its SaaS infrastructure is designed to modernize how payments and commerce work.
About the Role
Bookit is hiring an SVP of Technology to scale its Travel and Loyalty platform and lead the broader technology organization. In this executive position, you will oversee engineering, information security, IT services, technology strategy, and technical coordination with enterprise customers and partners.
This role is centered on leading engineering and technology strategy during a post-fundraising growth phase. The company is expanding its white-label platform, rewards technology, and experiential commerce offerings for organizations focused on fan engagement, loyalty, memberships, VIP experiences, rewards programs, and commerce initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with deep technical understanding. You should be able to communicate the company’s direction clearly, participate in key architectural discussions, and contribute when important engineering work requires executive-level involvement. You will need strong technical and commercial judgment, including the ability to decide when to build, buy, partner, outsource, hire, or use AI, and explain those trade-offs to other leaders.

Strategic Priorities
- Treat technology as a core business capability that improves efficiency, scalability, automation, and decision-making across the company
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events
- Own technical strategy and make key architecture decisions
- Work with operations on planning, staffing, budgeting, and the use of AI agents
- Collaborate with enterprise prospects and customers to present platform capabilities and technology direction
- Promote responsible use of AI to improve engineering output, internal operations, customer support, enterprise rollouts, and business workflows
- Create repeatable implementation approaches that shorten deployment timelines for white-label enterprise customers
- Recruit, coach, and scale a high-performing engineering organization
- Balance innovation, cost efficiency, and user needs
- Build a security-first engineering culture aligned with enterprise procurement, compliance, and security expectations, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001 efforts
- Balance operational efficiency, employee experience, functionality, and information security
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Success to close enterprise deals and support successful technical implementations
Candidate Profile
Bookit is especially interested in candidates with experience in eCommerce or payments, particularly in consumer-facing environments. Backgrounds in Web3, crypto, or fintech are also strongly preferred.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience building and shipping large-scale web or mobile platforms, with strong knowledge of scalable architecture, distributed systems, and practical technical decision-making
- Ability to stay technically credible enough to review architecture, guide major technical choices, and contribute during critical engineering initiatives when necessary
- At least 5 years of engineering leadership experience managing a team of 20 or more engineers
- At least 3 years of InfoSec leadership experience, with familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
- At least 3 years of responsibility for IT services, either directly or through a reporting line
- At least 5 years working on loyalty, e-commerce, or payment technology platforms
- Strong understanding of payment fraud risks and tools such as Stripe Radar
- Comfort working in an early-stage, fast-moving environment
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to explain trade-offs in technical decisions clearly
- Interest in solving business and technical problems over simply adding features
- Creative thinking and idea generation
