About the Team
Vector is Bain’s digital delivery platform, bringing together capabilities in AI, Insights & Solutions (AIS), and Enterprise Technology. These groups support the firm’s work in generative AI, digital transformation, and innovation.
You will be part of the Vector Talent & Operations team, working with a growing network of professionals across product management, design, analytics, and engineering. In this cross-functional setting, you will collaborate with guild leaders, commercial leaders, and delivery teams to strengthen talent operations and improve the experience of teams across Bain’s digital practice.

Role Overview
As a Senior Manager, Vector Program Management, you will help run Bain’s regional Vector delivery organization. Your work will involve close partnership with the Regional Talent Lead, guild leadership, commercial leaders, and program management teams to support staffing, professional growth, performance management, and employee experience for delivery team members across technical guilds.
This position combines talent strategy, operational discipline, and people leadership in a fast-moving, growth-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of Bain’s case team staffing approach and how Vector experts contribute to client outcomes.
- Place delivery team members in projects effectively by balancing client requirements, development objectives, and business priorities.
- Work with Bain Partners, Managers, and practice leaders to make well-considered staffing and workforce planning decisions.
- Share staffing decisions with stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Keep staffing procedures and policies open, consistent, and equitable.
- Ensure staffing and resource data remains accurate and up to date.
- Build strong relationships with delivery team members and coach them on career development and growth opportunities.
- Track project assignments so individuals receive varied experiences and meaningful development opportunities.
- Support performance management activities, including case-end reviews, feedback quality, and evaluation discussions.
- Coordinate trainings, team meetings, and development programs with guild leadership.
- Help strengthen community, belonging, and engagement across technical guilds.
- Partner with leadership, Recruiting, and HR to onboard and integrate new hires smoothly.
- Monitor employee engagement indicators and contribute to initiatives that improve team experience and retention.
- Stay attentive to regional and local team sentiment and address emerging concerns proactively.
- Work with HR Business Partners and guild leaders to reinforce office culture and employee support systems.
- Assist the Regional Talent Lead in shaping and delivering talent strategy initiatives.
- Look for ways to improve staffing workflows and overall operational effectiveness.
- Contribute to global staffing and workforce initiatives when required.
- Collaborate with staffing and talent management colleagues across regions.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
- A bachelor’s degree in Management, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience; an MBA is preferred.
- Background in staffing, HR, talent management, or professional development is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle several priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, adaptable, service-oriented approach.
- Comfort handling highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
