Job summary
This position is responsible for supporting the Senior Security Officer or Site Security Officer in overseeing security operations across the company’s site and facilities. The selected person may also be asked to step in and perform the duties of a Senior Security Officer or Site Security Officer whenever needed. A key part of the role is handling daily security operations and making sure all security-related tasks run efficiently and in line with internal procedures.
The role also involves safeguarding access to the site and facilities, including perimeter protection, gates, and other entry points.
Key responsibilities
- Help coordinate and oversee the day-to-day work of the security team so customer and site requirements are met.
- Monitor the main entrance, inspect fences, and periodically check other gates and premises.
- Keep an eye on parking area conditions and related signage.
- Check materials moving in and out of the company premises.
- Manage and control vehicle entry into the premises.
- Carry out patrols around fences and gates.
- Complete risk assessments for security team activities and review them on a regular basis.
- Prepare reports for surveys and checks requested by the Senior or Site Security Officer, including recommendations when needed.
- Take part in security-related studies, investigations, and improvement initiatives.
- Help strengthen security practices and upgrade related facilities.
- Coordinate maintenance of the main barrier gate and turnstiles with the relevant department or trade.
- Make sure security staff are trained for their assigned duties.
- Provide guidance and demonstrations on security checks and procedures.
- Work with colleagues across different levels of the organization on routine security assignments and project follow-ups.
- Participate in meetings and discussions, including coordination with external parties in relevant security matters.
- Support CCTV monitoring, alarm monitoring, and access control activities.
- Deliver refresher training on security procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company security rules and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
- Keep security records updated, including incident reports, patrol logs, access lists, and equipment records.
- Coordinate with internal departments and outside authorities when required.
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs.
Requirements
- Higher Secondary School education, completed over 12 years, in a relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a comparable security position.
- Completion of relevant security training courses.
- Strong command of English is essential.
- Ability to speak and write Arabic is an added advantage.
- Good computer literacy with solid MS Office skills.
- Practical capability in CCTV monitoring and access control operations.
Additional information
This role may require the candidate to assume the responsibilities of the Senior Security Officer or Site Security Officer when necessary. It also includes coordination with internal stakeholders and external authorities, as well as involvement in audits, inspections, surveys, investigations, and improvement projects.
