Role Summary

The Senior Financial Controller will take ownership of financial oversight for projects and support business leaders with analysis, reporting, planning, and control. This role is centered on improving project profitability, strengthening governance, and providing clear financial insight to guide decisions in a project-driven environment.

Project Financial Control

  • Manage the financial health of projects by monitoring revenue, expenses, margins, and overall profitability.
  • Compare actual outcomes against budget and forecast, and flag risks along with recommended corrective actions.
  • Ensure project accounts are accurate, including accruals, provisions, and recognition of costs.
  • Work closely with project managers to help them interpret financial results and improve project performance.

Cost Allocation and Recharge

  • Take the lead on complex cost allocation and intercompany recharge processes.
  • Build and maintain allocation methods that are clear, consistent, and defensible.
  • Make sure allocation logic matches cost drivers, operational activity, and reporting requirements.

Budgeting and Planning

Controls and Governance

  • Help strengthen internal controls within project accounting and cost allocation activities.

  • Act as a finance advisor to project managers and business leaders.

Qualifications
