Role focus

This position is centered on end-to-end APO planning support, functional configuration, integration work, and coordination across planning and supply chain processes. The consultant is expected to work with global stakeholders and translate business requirements into SAP configurations and functional specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the complete Demand Planning lifecycle with strong practical exposure.
• Support sales history extraction and loading from ECC/BW into APO.
• Manage planning area administration, planning book upkeep, realignment, and backup activities.
• Work on forecasting workflows and the release of forecasts.
• Use macros, DP alerts, background jobs, and process chains for planning operations.
• Bring solid technical understanding of all relevant gATP processes.
• Maintain and work with gATP master data.
• Configure and support Availability to Promise, product allocation, backorder processing, and configurable process scheduling.
• Apply rule-based ATP and CTP concepts as part of planning support.
• Contribute to the full SNP cycle and CIF activities with strong hands-on experience.
• Handle CIF integration, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Support heuristic planning, deployment, TLB, optimizer, CTM, and capacity planning activities.
• Work on integration between SAP APO and other SAP modules such as BW, MM, PP, and SD.
• Prepare functional specifications from business needs, configure solutions accordingly, and carry out unit testing.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in SAP APO Functional consulting.
• Strong practical knowledge of end-to-end Demand Planning processes.
• Experience with sales history extraction and load processes from ECC/BW to APO.
• Hands-on exposure to planning area administration, planning book maintenance, realignment, and backup tasks.
• Working knowledge of forecasting, forecast release, macros, alerts, background jobs, and process chains.
• Good technical understanding of gATP-related processes and master data.
• Experience with ATP, product allocation, backorder processing, configurable process scheduling, rule-based ATP, and CTP.
• Strong experience in SNP and CIF, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SAP APO integration with BW, MM, PP, and SD.
• Ability to create functional specifications, configure based on business requirements, and complete unit testing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with global clients.
• Only full-time education will be considered for eligibility.

Eligibility

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations: minimum 15 years of regular education (10th + 12th + 3 years of graduation), BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc/MS with at least 5 years of relevant IT experience after qualification, or B.Sc/BCA with at least 5.5 years of relevant IT experience after qualification. The hiring team will consider only full-time courses.
