Role overview
This opening is for an SAP ABAP Developer role with an MNC IT services client based in Vadodara. The position calls for an experienced professional who can work across technical analysis, development, and support activities within SAP environments.
Key responsibilities
- Gather technical requirements and translate functional needs into workable ABAP solutions.
- Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation for development and support work.
- Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify issues and deliver solutions.
- Investigate system issues, debug programs, and support production troubleshooting.
- Handle performance tuning and other optimization tasks to improve application behavior.
Technical expectations
- Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, CDS Views, and OData services.
- Solid debugging ability along with experience in performance tuning.
- Experience building and supporting ALV reports, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
- Practical exposure to BAPI, RFC, IDoc, enhancements, and BAdIs.
- Background in ABAP development with object-oriented programming concepts.
Candidate profile
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in ABAP development is expected.
- The candidate should be comfortable working with object-oriented ABAP.
