Role overview

The Sales Development Representative will sit at the front end of Firmable's outbound growth engine. The role is responsible for identifying the right prospects, starting cold conversations, and setting up qualified meetings that turn into pipeline for the Account Executive team.

This position is not focused on following a script. It requires commercial thinking about who to approach and why, independent account and persona research, and outreach tailored to each prospect. The role also involves working closely with marketing on sequences, collaborating with AEs on handovers, and sharing market feedback with leadership.

The position reports to the Head of Sales - SEA (Jeremiah).

Roughly 75% of the work involves active prospecting and outreach, while about 25% is dedicated to research, collaboration, and feeding insights back into the go-to-market motion.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive outbound pipeline by making cold calls, sending emails, and running multi-channel outreach to introduce Firmable and secure qualified demos for the AE team.
  • Handle incoming interest quickly, assess qualification, and move prospects efficiently into the opportunity stage.
  • Run discovery conversations that uncover prospect needs and position Firmable in a way that is relevant and persuasive.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot so the wider GTM team can rely on clean data.
  • Work with marketing on messaging, sequences, and conversion approaches, and coordinate with AEs for seamless handovers.
  • Share competitor, customer, and product feedback with the appropriate teams and surface trends, objections, and opportunities to leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a sales-oriented role, preferably in a fast-moving B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong commercial judgment and good time-management skills.
  • A self-starter mindset with curiosity and problem-solving ability, needing little direction on what to try next.
  • Comfort using AI tools as part of everyday work for research, drafting, prospect intelligence, and workflow automation.
  • Experience with prospecting and database tools such as Firmable, ZoomInfo, Lusha, Apollo, or similar platforms is highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot or another comparable CRM is preferred.
  • Prior experience selling into B2B markets in Southeast Asia is an advantage.
  • Startup or scaleup experience, especially in environments where you helped build the playbook, is a plus.
