Role overview
This junior-level project data analyst role supports project teams by gathering, structuring, analyzing, and interpreting information to strengthen planning, delivery, and overall project outcomes. The position focuses on turning project data into practical insights that help teams make better decisions and improve performance.
Key responsibilities
You will help build and maintain reporting assets and analysis outputs that give stakeholders visibility into schedules, budgets, resource usage, risks, and core performance indicators. The role also includes monitoring project metrics, spotting patterns, reviewing results, and suggesting ways to improve processes and operations.
Additional duties include supporting forecasting activities, tracking performance, validating data, and maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of project records. You will work closely with project managers and cross-functional partners to support data-informed decisions, successful delivery, and ongoing improvement efforts across the organization.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar discipline is required.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and careful attention to detail are important for success in this position.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets, reporting software, data analysis methods, and data visualization tools is expected.
- Understanding of database fundamentals, statistical approaches, project performance measurement, and business reporting practices is helpful.
- Clear communication and presentation skills are needed to explain complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Good organization and time management are necessary to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exposure to forecasting, process improvement methods, project management concepts, and business intelligence tools will be considered an advantage.
