About the Role
Chanelle Pharma is hiring a Production Operator to join its Production and Manufacturing team at the Loughrea site in County Galway. The position plays a part in supporting the company’s goal of being a highly respected global supplier of quality pharmaceutical products at competitive prices, while also delivering strong service to customers. This is an onsite role and reports to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager.
Key Duties
- Produce and pack products in line with cGMP and regulatory expectations, following the company’s documented procedures.
- Complete all required paperwork and records accurately.
- Perform in-process control checks as specified in company documentation.
- Make sure machinery and equipment are operating properly.
- Carry out minor adjustments to machines or equipment when needed and within scope.
- Clean equipment and work areas according to standard operating procedures.
- Support training activities where required.
- Work toward the targets set for the work centre.
- Follow all health and safety requirements.
- Maintain compliance with documented procedures and cGMP standards.
- Keep production areas to a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping.
- Observe all terms and conditions of employment as set out in the contract.
Experience and Knowledge
- At least 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical, FDA/HPRA, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of GMP and GDP requirements is an advantage.

Shift Pattern
The role follows a rotating 3-week shift cycle:
- Day shift: 08:00 to 16:10 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00 to 15:10 on Friday.
- Evening shift: 16:00 to 12:10 Monday to Thursday, and 15:00 to 22:10 on Friday.
- Night shift: 12:00 to 08:10 Monday to Thursday, and 22:00 to 05:10 on Friday.
