What you'll be doing

You will support recycling and waste operations by safely running mobile plant and helping keep the site productive, organised, and compliant with site procedures.

• Operate plant equipment safely and efficiently in a recycling and waste environment.
• Run material handlers as part of daily site operations.
• Operate front end loaders.
• Use grapple and grab attachments to sort, shift, and manage waste and recyclable materials.
• Work stockpiles and operate off the face while maintaining a strong safety focus.
• Load and move materials while supporting output targets and site safety requirements.
• Carry out pre-start inspections and basic machine upkeep each day.
• Coordinate with supervisors and on-site staff to keep operations running smoothly.
• Follow all site rules, procedures, and safety obligations.
• Assist with other tasks across the site when needed.

What the employer is looking for

• Hands-on experience operating front end loaders and material handlers in waste, recycling, quarry, or similar settings.
• Proven use of grapple or grab attachments is required.
• Experience working stockpiles and operating off the face.
• A current RII Excavator ticket or VOC is required.
• A valid Australian driver’s licence and full working rights.
• Reliable transport to and from site.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
• A strong safety mindset and willingness to work as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and dependable work approach.
