Role overview
Toad Hall Nursery is seeking motivated Modern Apprentices in Early Years. This opportunity is open to people who want to begin a career in childcare, return to work, or move into a new and meaningful profession. Applicants from 17 years of age who are enthusiastic about children’s learning and development are encouraged to apply.
The role combines paid work with training towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years. You will learn alongside experienced childcare professionals and gain practical experience in a nursery environment.

Training structure
This apprenticeship requires a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with 20% of the time set aside for learning away from the normal workplace. Study time will include completing tasks assigned by your Assessor, with support from the training provider and the nursery’s team. Previous childcare experience is not necessary, as full training and guidance are provided. Transferable skills from other jobs and life experience are valued.

Career progression
After qualification, you may be able to apply for internal Nursery Nurse positions and continue building a long-term career within the nursery group. The employer notes that many apprentices grow and develop their careers in Early Years with the organisation.
Pre-employment checks
Before any start date is confirmed, the employer will complete pre-employment screening, including two satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check.
