The Linen Technician supports the hospital’s linen operations end to end, including stock management, replenishment, and keeping the linen area running smoothly. The role also involves recording par-stock deliveries at the end of each shift, monitoring Scrub-Ex machine par levels, and restocking or clearing machines as needed. The position helps maintain an orderly department, answers the department phone when assigned, and responds quickly to service requests to support overall patient and customer satisfaction. Work assignments may be in one hospital tower or across both towers.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The role requires the ability to read, speak, and write clearly, perform basic math, and understand both written and spoken instructions. The candidate must be able to count and document linen deliveries accurately. Physical capability is important, including safely pushing and pulling carts, stocking carts, delivering linen throughout the facility, and spending a substantial part of each shift standing and walking.
