Role overview
As an intern in the Workplace Technology team, you will assist Forto employees with their IT needs both in the Berlin office and remotely across Europe. In addition to day-to-day support, you will gain exposure to new tools and take part in important projects that improve the overall employee experience.
What you will do
- Set up and deploy Windows 10, macOS, and iOS devices.
- Deliver IT assistance to colleagues across Europe through Jira Service Desk.
- Support the administration of cloud applications and the upkeep of meeting rooms.
- Raise and follow up on issues with external suppliers and vendors when needed.
- Create clear, professional documentation in Jira Confluence.
- Contribute to Workplace Technology projects and OKR-related work.
Requirements
- Strong command of English is required; German language skills are a bonus but not mandatory.
- Some prior exposure to corporate IT support or a relevant certification such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, ITF+, or Network+ is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of either Windows or macOS, along with basic understanding of IT network infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and work out solutions independently, even when the issue is unfamiliar.
- Careful approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Quick to learn and comfortable adapting to new situations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters simply to non-technical colleagues.
- Availability for a six-month full-time assignment.
- Practical knowledge of hardware troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge of network troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
