Implementation Manager

Role overview

This role is for a United States-based Implementation Manager supporting 9amHealth through a partner company that oversees applications and hiring steps. The position is responsible for guiding new employer and partner clients through onboarding from contract signing to launch and the period after go-live.

You will act as the main operational lead for complex implementations, keeping cross-functional work moving between internal teams and external partners. The job combines project coordination, technical setup, and client communication in a fast-moving healthcare setting. Success in this role depends on strong analytical thinking, a structured approach, and the ability to spot and resolve issues before they affect client outcomes or member access to care.

Core responsibilities

• Take ownership of the end-to-end implementation process for new employer and partner accounts, covering contract signature, launch, and post-launch support.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules with milestones, dependencies, owners, and target dates.
• Run client kickoff meetings and working sessions as the primary contact for implementation.
• Work closely with Sales, Product, Clinical, Operations, and Partnerships teams to keep handoffs and execution on track.
• Set up and manage technical connections such as HRIS integrations, SSO, eligibility files, and data feeds.
• Investigate configuration and integration problems, and escalate to Product or Engineering when needed.
• Monitor implementation metrics including launch speed, issue-resolution timing, and launch quality.
• Keep CRM records and project documentation accurate and up to date.
• Support configuration changes and additional onboarding needs after launch.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in implementation, onboarding, project management, or a similar client-facing operations role.
• Background in digital health, SaaS, employer benefits, or B2B2C environments is preferred.
• Solid technical familiarity with APIs, data formats, file transfers, and system integrations.
• Experience handling several complex implementations at the same time.
• Comfort using tools such as Asana, Jira, Slack, and Confluence.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Proactive problem-solving ability with a focus on identifying and resolving issues early.
• Experience with employer groups or benefits administration systems is a strong advantage.
