Groundskeeper (Landscaper)

Role overview

This position is responsible for keeping the hotel’s outdoor areas neat, safe, and visually appealing. The work is based in Doha, Qatar, at the Ras Abu Abboud Street property, and is a non-management, full-time role in the Landscaping & Grounds category.

What you will do

• Check the property grounds regularly and maintain a clean, welcoming appearance.
• Carry out lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, and leaf raking, along with other routine grounds maintenance work.
• Clean, wash, and refuel tools and equipment after use.
• Care for flower beds, baskets, and planter boxes by watering, weeding, trimming, and doing other needed upkeep.
• Collect waste from outdoor trash containers, bag it, and remove it from the area.
• Keep fountains, planters, and similar landscape features presentable by cleaning them and making minor repairs when required.
• Maintain sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, and parking areas by repairing cracks, holes, and related surface issues.
• Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to move equipment and supplies.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures at all times.
• Report faulty equipment, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect confidential information and safeguard company property.
• Work with the team to help achieve shared goals.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually to spot defects or issues.
• Perform snow removal and ice management duties if needed for the location.
• Handle other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Physical and work demands

• Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods or an entire shift.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Use hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to handle tools and materials of different sizes and weights.
• Move across slopes, uneven ground, or slippery surfaces, and work on ladders.
• Reach above shoulder level and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Use manual dexterity continuously, with frequent use of both gross and fine motor skills.
