Finance Expert

Role overview

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional to support a remote, contractor-based assignment for a client team. In this role, you will apply deep subject-matter knowledge in finance to evaluate visual content such as images and videos and create demanding, high-quality questions that accurately test expert understanding. The work contributes directly to a technology-led business initiative where precision and domain expertise are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Carefully examine finance-related content presented in image and video formats.
• Write advanced, domain-focused questions that require real financial expertise to answer correctly.
• Classify each task into the right category and subcategory so it can be routed to the most suitable experts.
• Work with specialists from other domains to maintain accuracy and relevance across the content set.
• Keep up with industry developments and regulatory updates to improve question design and tagging.
• Review the quality and difficulty of the questions over time and refine them using expert feedback.
• Follow all applicable regulatory requirements and internal quality standards during the annotation process.

Required background and qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in financial modeling, financial analysis, and forecasting.
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel and contemporary financial reporting systems.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, accounting concepts, and data analysis.
• Experience with cost optimization and work in technology-driven business settings.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving ability.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills, especially for preparing detailed and sophisticated questions.
• Proven exposure to project management and stakeholder coordination in consulting or finance-oriented roles.

Preferred experience

• Prior work in finance-related annotation, assessment, or question generation.
• Experience handling regulatory compliance in international finance environments.
• Familiarity with expert crowdsourcing or remote consulting engagements.

This is a contractor position based remotely in the United Kingdom. The assignment is expert-level and focused on content annotation, quality control, and question creation for finance-related material.
