Experienced Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations in Doha, Qatar. The role involves maintaining accurate books, supporting compliance, and handling a range of accounting functions for a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee routine accounting tasks and record all financial transactions accurately.
• Manage supplier payments and customer receivables.
• Run payroll activities and ensure adherence to WPS regulations.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and keep financial records current and reliable.
• Compile financial statements, management summaries, and related backup documents.
• Support budgeting exercises, audit preparation, and financial forecasting.
• Track project-related expenses, costs, and accounting entries.
• Process letters of credit and bank guarantees.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors, vendors, and internal teams on finance matters.
• Maintain well-organized, accurate, and up-to-date accounting data.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of accounting experience in Qatar.
• Background in a contracting or construction environment is an advantage.
• Strong practical experience with Tally ERP.
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Proven hands-on exposure to payroll, WPS, AP/AR, financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and project accounting.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work on your own and deliver within deadlines.
• A valid NOC is mandatory.
• Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately.
