Executive - Warehousing & Transportation (Analytics, Cost/Operations)

Role overview

This permanent position in Andheri East, Mumbai, is focused on managing warehouse and transportation activities end to end. The role is centered on ensuring goods move on time and at the right cost, with a strong emphasis on transportation planning, freight spend control, and operational analytics.

The position works closely with warehouse teams, transport vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly while meeting company policies, procedures, and service expectations.

Work schedule

This role follows a six-day work week, from Monday to Saturday.

Education and experience

Candidates should have an MBA or other postgraduate qualification and at least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Review freight spend, transportation expenses, and logistics performance to uncover opportunities for cost reduction and better efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to control transport costs through route planning, better vehicle usage, carrier performance review, and process improvements while preserving agreed service standards.
• Track transportation KPIs and create MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical inputs to support informed decision-making.
• Schedule and assign vehicles based on dispatch and delivery needs so that resources are used effectively.
• Monitor vehicle availability and make sure shipments leave on time as planned.
• Follow shipments actively and share timely updates with both internal teams and external partners.
• Work with warehouse personnel to support timely loading, unloading, and smooth dispatch activity.
• Handle transport and delivery concerns, including customer complaints, in a prompt and professional manner.
• Examine delays, freight mismatches, damage cases, shortages, and other operational exceptions, then suggest corrective measures.
• Maintain compliance with company rules, transport regulations, operating procedures, and legal/statutory requirements.
• Support safe material storage and handling, along with proper housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
