Role overview

SAMA Integrated Smart Systems delivers end-to-end smart system solutions across the UAE, covering design, supply of materials, installation, integration, and upkeep. Its work includes CCTV, access control, gate barriers, public address and background music systems, SMARTV, digital signage, audio-visual setups, control rooms, structured cabling, and IP telephony.

The company is seeking an experienced ELV Technician who is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and enjoys solving technical challenges through practical, hands-on work.

This position is suited to someone with strong field experience in ELV systems, including CCTV, structured cabling, PAVA, access control, AV equipment, gate barrier systems, and sliding door mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, and configure a range of ELV solutions, including CCTV, access control, audio-visual equipment, and structured cabling for data and telecom networks.
• Work with biometric and RFID access control systems as part of installation and setup activities.
• Set up intercoms, PA systems, and other audio-visual communication systems according to project needs.
• Read and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation.
• Install and commission automatic sliding doors, gate barriers, and PAVA systems in line with manufacturer instructions and project specifications.
• Make sure all work complies with safety requirements and local regulations.
• Carry out regular preventive maintenance to keep systems performing well and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot faults, carry out repairs, and reduce downtime wherever possible.
• Verify functionality after installation or repair through proper testing and commissioning.
• Maintain clear records of installations, maintenance work, and repairs, and share progress updates with supervisors or project managers.
• Provide technical support to clients and explain system operation and basic maintenance procedures.
• Respond quickly to service requests and resolve issues in a way that supports customer satisfaction.
• Conduct user training sessions on correct system usage.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, tools, and best practices related to ELV systems.
• Attend workshops or training activities to strengthen technical knowledge.
• Follow health, safety, and organizational procedures at all times.
• Support team members when required and remain available for emergency support outside normal hours if needed.

Requirements

• A diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with ELV systems.
• Practical expertise in PAVA systems, sliding gates, swing gates, and gate barrier systems.
• Comfort using MS Office applications and AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematic documents.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and careful attention to detail.
• Good English communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• A valid driving licence and readiness to travel to project sites across the UAE.
• Valid MCC and SIRA Technician Card preferred, though not mandatory.

Working conditions

The role is generally based on day shift hours, although weekend work or shift duty may be required in special circumstances. Travel within the United Arab Emirates may be part of the job. Work may take place indoors or outdoors.

The position can involve long periods of standing, lifting heavy items, repetitive tasks, and use of lifts, ladders, or scaffolding. Hand tools and power tools may also be used regularly.
