The Opportunity
This position is for an installation-focused technician who will handle the fitting and startup of HVAC systems in retail, commercial, and pharmaceutical settings. The role is centered on delivering dependable, high-quality work while meeting safety rules, technical standards, and client expectations.
Key Duties
- Set up and commission split-air and multi-split air-conditioning systems.
- Perform installation tasks such as pipework, brackets, cabling, and related mechanical and electrical work.
- Prepare, update, and keep accurate site surveys, commissioning documentation, and installation logs.
- Assist with quotations by spotting repair, replacement, or upgrade opportunities.
- Coordinate with customers, site representatives, and other trades working on location.
- Contribute as a team member to complete projects safely, within schedule, and to a high standard.
- Guide and support apprentices or junior technicians and help them develop professionally.
What We Are Looking For
- City & Guilds qualifications or an equivalent technical certification.
- Hands-on background in complete HVAC system installation.
- Strong working knowledge of DX systems, split systems, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, and ventilation plant.
- Prior experience commissioning HVAC equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents such as electrical and fluid schematics, piping drawings, and psychrometric charts.
- Clear written and spoken technical communication skills.
- A proactive mindset, practical approach, and solid problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable using IT systems and computers.
- A full, clean Irish driving licence.
