Data Science Intern

About the Role

Danone Nutricia Research in Singapore is looking for a Data Science intern to support Digital Health and related teams in building machine learning solutions that improve real-world data capture. The team works on AI features used in applications such as growth and stool recognition within the My Unique Moments (MUM) app, and continues refining these models as there is always scope to make them more accurate and practical.

What You Will Do

You will work with your supervisor to enhance the performance and usability of AI models already in production. The work will involve reviewing current research on modern AI and vision methods, selecting suitable improvement approaches for each model, and turning those ideas into working solutions.

• Suggest methods to improve model performance
• Define how model changes will be measured and judged
• Set realistic timelines for completing the work
• Build and implement the chosen solution
• Share findings and outcomes with internal stakeholders across Danone

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Data Science team
• Digital Health team
• Other global teams, depending on the algorithm in scope

What You Need

To do well in this role, you should be studying Data Science, Computer Science, or a similar university program. Strong Python skills are important, along with prior exposure to deep learning. Familiarity with TensorFlow’s Functional API would be a plus.

You should also be able to explain AI and machine learning results in a way that business users can easily understand.
