Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst in Manchester for a full-time, office-based role with a salary of £35,000 per year. The position is suited to someone who already has practical Power BI capability, understands DAX beyond the basics, and has experience working with real business data where precision is essential.
The role is designed for someone who wants greater ownership and broader exposure across the business. Rather than building dashboards in isolation, you will work closely with stakeholders, learn how different parts of the organisation operate, and create reporting that is genuinely useful and regularly used.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards that support day-to-day business needs.
- Build, refine, and optimise DAX measures and calculations.
- Produce routine and ad hoc reporting across a range of business areas.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather needs and turn them into practical reporting solutions.
- Examine data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insight.
- Protect the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reports and datasets.
- Work with sensitive information within a regulated setting.
- Contribute to improvements in reporting processes and the wider use of data across the organisation.
Candidate profile
- Previous commercial experience using Power BI.
- Solid hands-on knowledge of DAX.
