Data Analyst (Excel) - Remote

Role Overview

This remote contractor position is focused on using domain knowledge and strong data analysis skills to help train next-generation AI systems with high-quality, real-world data. Prior experience in artificial intelligence is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data and surface insights that support business decisions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and turn them into practical analyses.
• Inspect, clean, and verify datasets to maintain accuracy, consistency, and overall data quality.
• Create reports and visual materials suited to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Spot patterns, irregularities, and opportunities within complex datasets.
• Record methods, findings, and recommendations clearly and with strong attention to detail.

Required Skills

• Hands-on data analysis experience with Microsoft Excel as the main working tool.
• High accuracy and careful attention to detail.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
• Comfort working with different teams to achieve shared goals.
• Good command of Excel formulas, functions, and data visualization methods.
• Ability to detect and fix data quality issues and inconsistencies.
• Experience in fast-moving, data-centric work environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting cross-functional teams with actionable data insights.
• Exposure to presenting analysis results to a variety of audiences.
• Familiarity with other analytics or business intelligence tools.
