Role overview
This position is for an in-person interview. The courier will be responsible for collecting and delivering parcels along an assigned route, while ensuring every shipment meets Federal Express Canada service standards. The role also includes customer-facing service tasks connected to deliveries and pickups.
Key duties
- Handle pick-up and delivery of packages on the assigned route in a professional and efficient manner.
- Verify shipments to confirm they align with Federal Express Canada’s service requirements.
- Support customers with related service needs during the delivery process.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High school diploma or an equivalent educational credential.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean or good driving record.
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and move items up to 150 lbs using the proper equipment.
- At least one year of customer-oriented business experience is preferred.
- Must meet the minimum score on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
- Helpful familiarity with Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs rules.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent customer service approach.
- Capacity to juggle multiple tasks, manage pressure, and stay effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to changing schedules, holidays, and business-driven shift requirements.
Additional requirements
- All candidates must complete any required testing, training, and recurring training tied to the role.
- The incumbent is expected to perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work in a Windows-based PC environment.
- Annual accreditations must be maintained where applicable.
- For candidates in Quebec, bilingual ability in French and English is required.
- For driving-focused positions, a valid license such as Class 5, G, or 1[AZ] is required, along with a driving record showing no more than two violations and/or accidents in the 24 months before applying.
- Selection may also consider the current driver’s abstract, interview performance, and any driver competency assessments.
Pay information
The advertised pay rate is $23.75 per hour.
