Role overview
We are seeking a United States-based Contracts Administrator to support a partner organization handling its own application and hiring process. This position is central to managing federal government contracts end to end, with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and smooth execution from award through final closeout. The role sits at the crossroads of legal, finance, program management, and business development, supporting complex contractual work in a tightly regulated environment.
In this position, you will review and administer several contract structures, including prime contracts, task orders, and modifications. You will help ensure all work aligns with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific requirements while acting as a trusted connection between internal teams and government clients. The role calls for exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and disciplined organization. Your work will directly support mission-critical government programs and the delivery of important services.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of federal contracts, delivery orders, task orders, and modifications across the entire contract lifecycle, from award to closeout.
- Examine contract language and ensure all work follows FAR/DFARS rules, agency obligations, and internal procedures.
- Create, process, and maintain contract records such as awards, amendments, modifications, and related documents.
- Track contract execution, funding, deliverables, and milestones while keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with business development, capture, finance, legal, procurement, and program teams to support contract execution and proposal work.
- Spot contractual risk, assess mitigation options, and assist with negotiations for important agreements and teaming arrangements.
- Act as a main contact for internal teams and external stakeholders on contract administration and compliance questions.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline, along with 10+ years of experience in government contract administration; additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
- Strong working knowledge of federal contracting rules, including FAR and DFARS, and hands-on experience with multiple contract types.
- Proven background in reviewing RFPs, administering contracts, and supporting proposals and negotiations.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, with solid documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication ability, including the capacity to interpret and draft complex contract documents.
- Excellent organization and the ability to manage several priorities independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with federal civilian agencies and cross-functional collaboration is a strong advantage.
Benefits and work environment
- Competitive full-time compensation, with pay and benefits aligned to experience and expertise.
- Medical coverage for employees and eligible dependents.
- Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and federal holidays.
- Retirement savings options with employer contributions.
- Flexible remote work, depending on role requirements and project needs.
- Professional development opportunities and exposure to complex federal programs.
- An inclusive, collaborative environment centered on mission-driven work.

Shortlisted profiles are shared with the hiring company, which makes the final decision and conducts interviews or assessments.
Privacy and data processing
By applying, candidates acknowledge that their personal data may be processed to assess candidacy and shared with the hiring employer. This processing is based on legitimate interest and pre-contractual measures under applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where relevant. Candidates may request access, correction, deletion, or objection to their data at any time.
AI-assisted review notice
Artificial intelligence tools may be used to support parts of the hiring workflow, including resume review, application analysis, response evaluation, and basic inconsistency checks.
