Role overview
This trainee position supports civil works activities across Saudi Arabian border sites, including new buildings such as the Training Center, C2-C2I Room, Rapid Response Station, and tower structures. The role is focused on monitoring field execution delivered by the consortium partner AL-Rashid Trading & Contracting Co. (RTCC), ensuring the work aligns with approved civil drawings, quality standards, testing and commissioning expectations, and applicable construction norms in Saudi Arabia.
What you will do
- Track, inspect, and oversee civil construction work at site.
- Check design drawings and confirm that site execution matches approved documentation.
- Coordinate with site stakeholders, RTCC engineers, and subcontractors during request for inspection activities from project start through acceptance and final handover.
- Supervise civil works interfaces connected to the Airbus system for buildings, towers, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare and submit daily progress updates and site reports to back-office engineers.
- Support construction supervision, testing, inspection, and verification activities, including material inspection and request-for-information handling.
- Review record drawings, post responses, and circulate updated drawings, approved submittals, and project information to relevant parties.
- Monitor safety inspections, incident logs, and related reports.
- Raise deviations or design changes to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Participate in testing and commissioning and confirm as-built conditions.
- Work with the customer and project teams to align on site inspections.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of civil construction is required.
- Prior exposure to construction standards and engineering principles is expected.
- A civil engineering diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong written and spoken English is essential.
- Arabic language ability is preferred.
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Project, is needed.
- Applicants should understand civil works, foundations, new buildings, equipment rooms, towers, and refurbishment projects.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and AutoCAD drawings is necessary.
- Experience in large, complex project environments and teamwork is important.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are expected.
- The role requires discretion when handling confidential information.
- Candidates should be flexible, motivated, self-confident, agile, and enthusiastic.
- Compliance with site health and safety rules is mandatory.
- Willingness to work anywhere in Saudi Arabia and to drive extensively is required.
