Role Overview
The organisation is seeking a Cisco UCS Administrator for its Hyderabad location. The role focuses on managing Cisco Unified Computing System environments, supporting virtualisation platforms, and ensuring stable data centre operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up UCS domains, including fabric interconnects, chassis, blade servers, and rack servers.
- Administer Cisco UCS Manager, UCS Central, and UCS Director.
- Build and maintain service profiles, pools, policies, templates, and firmware upgrades.
- Take care of backup and restoration activities for UCS configurations.
- Maintain consistency in server builds, including CPU, RAM, and RAID settings.
- Manage UCS pods and rack infrastructure within data centres.
- Configure and support VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter environments on vSphere 7 and 8.
- Deliver L3 support for issues related to UCS infrastructure.
- Carry out operational checks and health validation routines.
- Work closely with networking, storage, and virtualisation teams to support changes and troubleshooting.
Technical Requirements
- Practical, hands-on experience with Cisco UCS server platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of UCS Manager and Cisco Intersight.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as VLANs, vSANs, storage networks, and virtualisation technologies.
- Experience supporting data centre migrations and equipment decommissioning.
- Good troubleshooting ability and clear communication skills.
