Beca is expanding the business development function within its Buildings division and is seeking an experienced senior business development professional to help drive future growth. This position plays a strategic, relationship-led part in shaping opportunities, supporting major bids, and deepening client connections.

The role works across both strategy and execution, partnering with senior leaders to create and deliver business development plans, lead significant pursuits, and improve how the business is positioned in the market.

The company is open to both full-time and part-time working arrangements for the right person.

Role overview

You will join a collaborative, high-performing team focused on winning important work and creating value for clients and communities. Working closely with the Business Development Director, General Managers, Market Segment Leaders, technical specialists, and the wider business development team, you will help shape market activity and deliver on growth priorities.

  • Help create and roll out business development plans across key sectors and markets
  • Offer strategic guidance on major bids and take the lead on key pursuits
  • Work with senior stakeholders to align priorities and support delivery against them
  • Improve bid quality and consistency through pursuit planning, bid coordination, writing, and review
  • Support client relationship plans and maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
  • Help build capability across the team by coaching, mentoring, and supporting junior colleagues
