The ANZ business has been active in the region since 2009 and is now seeking a commercial professional to help drive continued growth in New Zealand. The company partners with customers in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, dairy, and food to provide ingredient-based solutions that address practical business challenges.

The Role

Reporting to the ANZ Sales Director, this position will be responsible for managing established New Zealand accounts while also creating new business across the food, dairy, pharma, and nutraceutical sectors. The remit also includes identifying opportunities in other industries. This role suits someone who is self-driven, commercially astute, proactive, and comfortable taking full ownership of their territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business across the identified sectors and customer groups.
  • Develop and expand an existing portfolio of accounts in dairy, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and food.
  • Take responsibility for account planning, sales pipeline oversight, and revenue forecasting.
  • Spot and convert opportunities to increase product adoption within current and prospective accounts.
  • Develop trusted relationships with customer decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with technical teams to deliver appropriate solutions to clients.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events throughout New Zealand.
  • Track and report on account performance, sales progress, and market trends.

Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing sales position; 10+ years would be preferred.
  • Exposure to ingredients, distribution, or another technically focused sales environment.
  • A strong commercial mindset, a consultative approach, and a proven history of growing accounts.
  • Established connections within New Zealand’s pharma, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing sectors.
  • Persistent, self-starting, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and open opportunities.
  • Comfort using business systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Disciplined in CRM usage and experienced in pipeline management.
  • A valid driver’s licence and the willingness to travel within New Zealand and occasionally to Australia.
