About the role
InterAmerica Stage, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of rigging and specialty systems used in theatres, theme parks, and live entertainment environments. This position is suited to someone who enjoys fast-paced work, technical collaboration, and the challenge of helping turn complex concepts into safe, well-coordinated solutions.
In this role, you will work alongside senior project managers, engineers, fabricators, installers, field crews, vendors, owners, and designers to keep projects organized and moving forward. The work involves a mix of planning, coordination, documentation, and hands-on problem solving across a wide range of custom theatrical and themed entertainment projects.
Responsibilities
- Support project planning, scheduling, and project documentation.
- Coordinate day-to-day communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Review technical drawings, fabrication details, and project documents.
- Monitor material status, shop progress, and installation requirements.
- Assist with field coordination and logistical planning.
- Follow established workflows, take direction effectively, and gradually take on broader project responsibility.
Requirements
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read drawings, understand mechanical concepts, and learn rigging fundamentals.
- Solid communication and organizational skills.
- Comfort using computers and common tools such as Microsoft applications and Bluebeam; familiarity with AutoCAD or SketchUp is helpful but not required.
- Willingness to work different shifts, including first and third shifts.
- Ability to stay focused and productive in a fast-moving environment.
- Collaborative attitude with openness to direction and feedback.
- Curiosity, initiative, and interest in growing within a specialized industry.
