Role Overview
Mai Dubai is hiring an Assistant Manager for its E-Commerce function to accelerate online revenue, build stronger relationships with marketplace partners, and improve the customer journey across digital touchpoints. This role is best suited to a commercially minded professional with FMCG and e-commerce experience, solid account management exposure, and the ability to drive initiatives that support long-term business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and roll out e-commerce sales plans designed to meet revenue and profit goals.
- Own and expand major marketplace relationships such as Talabat, Noon, Careem, Kibsons, Amazon Seller Central, and other online channels.
- Handle commercial discussions and negotiations with platform partners and buyers.
- Support customer acquisition campaigns across digital channels in coordination with internal teams.
- Oversee the e-commerce sales pipeline from lead generation and qualification to conversion and repeat business.
- Track sales outcomes, review data, and spot opportunities to improve performance and growth.
- Research the market and competitors to uncover new trends and business opportunities.
- Partner with IT teams to keep platforms running smoothly, resolve operational issues, and improve user experience.
- Work in close alignment with Trade Marketing, Sales, and senior leadership to execute business priorities.
- Prepare persuasive business decks and commercial proposals.
- Make sure projects are delivered on time by managing timelines and critical milestones effectively.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a similar discipline is required; a master’s degree or relevant professional certification will be considered an added advantage.
- Applicants should have 7 to 10 years of FMCG experience, including 5 to 7 years focused on e-commerce sales and marketplace account management.
- Hands-on familiarity with major e-commerce platforms such as Talabat, Noon, Careem, Kibsons, and Amazon Seller Central is important.
- Working knowledge of SAP, POS systems, Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint is expected.
- A proven record of delivering sales growth, managing accounts, negotiating effectively, and building strong commercial relationships is essential.
- Strong presentation, influencing, and relationship-building skills are required.
- The ideal candidate should be customer-oriented, commercially sharp, and highly driven by targets.
- Excellent communication, planning, organization, and stakeholder management abilities are necessary.
- Leadership capability, practical judgment, and confident decision-making are important for success in this role.
- A strong analytical approach, along with basic financial understanding and experience managing critical paths, is needed.
