Applications & DevOps Consultant

Job Overview

The Applications & DevOps Consultant role focuses on post-sales delivery and solution advisory. The consultant evaluates solution details against evolving client needs, then plans and implements migration-ready environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. This includes reviewing existing on-premises setups and recommending practical solutions for customers.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate proof of concepts (POCs) and request for proposal (RFP) activities, and support closing opportunities from both pre-sales and implementation angles.
• Guide customers in building scalable, highly available application architectures using Microsoft technologies.
• Partner closely with client stakeholders across business, development, and infrastructure functions.
• Contribute as a specialist in both infrastructure and application development.
• Apply DevOps practices including infrastructure management, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
• Take part in design, development, review, and testing work for application and data modernization initiatives.
• Keep data storage and processing aligned with company security policies and cloud security best practices.
• Bring strong software architecture expertise, especially in cloud architecture and design patterns.
• Detect, investigate, and fix infrastructure weaknesses and application deployment problems.
• Work with engineering and development teams to assess and select the most suitable cloud solutions.
• Build and deliver a roadmap for modernizing applications and migrating them to Azure.
• Use ARM, Azure Policy, Blueprints, and related tools within integrated Azure deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to internal research and development work and stay active in the wider professional community.
• Follow information security policies for both the company and the client, maintaining compliance at all times.
• Keep technical certifications and qualifications current to support in-depth consulting for prospective customers.
• Handle technical sales conversations and calls.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• 3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.

Additional Information

This is a full-time onsite position based in Doha, Qatar. The role combines solution consulting, application modernization, cloud migration, DevOps implementation, and technical sales support.
