Role overview
Join a busy operations support environment where you’ll help regional leaders stay organised, on track and focused on store priorities. This position is based at the Auckland Support Office and involves providing strong administrative and coordination support to five Regional Managers across New Zealand.
The role suits someone who is proactive, highly organised and comfortable working in a fast-moving office setting. A key part of the job is easing the admin burden for leaders so they can spend more time supporting stores and teams.
This is an on-site position, with four days each week required in the Auckland office because of the office management support aspect of the role.
Key duties
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to five Regional Managers.
- Keep workflows, priorities and follow-ups moving so leaders stay informed about current and upcoming tasks.
- Coordinate regional meetings, including arranging logistics and completing post-meeting follow-ups.
- Support office management activities for the Auckland office.
- Manage calendars, travel arrangements, meetings and important milestones.
- Draft basic reports, presentations and status updates for leadership use.
- Assist with routine operational processes and occasional project work.
What the role offers
- Team discount at Bunnings and selected other Wesfarmers brands, including Kmart.
- Access to more than 100 exclusive team benefits covering health, shopping, travel, accommodation, wealth, work and leave.
- 12 weeks of paid parental leave available regardless of gender.
- Additional lifestyle perks such as annual festive gifts, discounted food and drinks at the Bunnings Cafe, and opportunities to work in different stores as part of travelling team member roles.
- A workplace that supports long-term growth and encourages you to build your own career path.
What you’ll need
You should be a practical, solutions-focused person who enjoys helping others and keeping things running smoothly. The role calls for someone who can work with several stakeholders, stay organised and take initiative without needing constant direction.
- Previous experience in administration, operations or a support-focused role is helpful.
- Strong planning, organisation and time-management ability.
- Clear communication skills and confidence in building working relationships.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and see tasks through to completion.
