Accounts Payable Assistant

Role Overview

An established construction services business in County Kildare is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to become part of its close, supportive, family-style team. The position is fully site-based and includes complete training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep supplier invoices and company credit card records up to date.
• Support the preparation of monthly payment runs.
• Communicate with suppliers when needed.
• Enter bank payment transactions accurately.
• Carry out reconciliations for suppliers and bank accounts.
• Handle payments to non-suppliers.
• Monitor and manage the accounts mailbox.
• Maintain organised, accurate records and filing systems.
• Take on additional tasks as required by the team.

Skills and Requirements

• Prior experience is not essential, although around one year in a similar position would be an advantage.
• A strong desire to learn and develop is important.
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills are needed.
• Excellent organisation and a sharp eye for detail are essential.
• You should be proactive, positive, and able to contribute well within a team.

Additional Information

Location: County Kildare, Ireland.

Salary: €30,000 to €35,000 basic.

Employment type: Full-time, permanent.
