The position is for an Accounting Manager on a 6-month maternity cover contract in Singapore.
Role overview
You will join a regional team and serve as a primary contact for clients and internal stakeholders. The role is varied and fast-moving, offering exposure to technical accounting work, client management, and business development through professional relationships. You can also expect a friendly, energetic, and engaging workplace.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a client portfolio spanning multiple industries.
- Check and ensure the punctual completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, financial statements, GST submissions, and other statutory filings, while maintaining accuracy and compliance with SFRS, the Companies Act, and IRAS rules.
- Direct, support, and develop senior associates and associates through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
- Distribute work, track timelines, and manage team capacity so client work is delivered smoothly.
- Work closely with colleagues in other departments and overseas offices to maintain strong service quality.
Requirements
- A degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in corporate services, outsourced accounting, or professional services.
- Good understanding of Singapore corporate regulations, SFRS, GST, CPF, and fundamental tax concepts.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
- Well-developed communication and client-facing skills.
- Proven capability in leading, coaching, and managing teams.
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities and working independently in a dynamic setting.
- Working knowledge of accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, along with Microsoft Office.
