Role Overview

Sandvik is looking for local Warehouse Workers to join the Paget branch at Interlink Court in Mackay. The role supports warehouse and distribution activities for both internal and external customers. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, working from 8:00 am to 4:06 pm.

You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and contribute to the daily running of warehouse operations. The role requires someone who works well in a team, can follow detailed instructions, and is comfortable operating with routine supervision.

Key Duties

  • Coordinate with managers, suppliers, and customers in relation to stores and warehouse operations.
  • Carry out weighing, shipping, receiving, delivery, and dispatch tasks.
  • Receive, record, pick, pack, and send spare parts and materials.
  • Support project-related work as required.
  • Assist with stock control activities.
  • Prepare shipping paperwork and related documentation.
  • Complete detailed data entry in Sandvik IT systems.
  • Investigate stock or process discrepancies and apply corrective measures.
  • Perform cycle counts and complete full inventory stocktakes.
  • Apply quality control practices and procedures.
  • Maintain general warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

Candidate Profile

The preferred candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in warehouse or stores work within a heavy mining or equipment manufacturing environment. A current forklift licence is considered an advantage.

You should be open to learning new systems and processes, adaptable in changing environments, and comfortable using Microsoft Office applications. Experience supporting OH&S policies and procedures is also important.

The role suits someone with strong energy, initiative, flexibility, communication skills, and customer service ability. You should also be able to collaborate effectively with a wider team and work flexible shifts and rosters.
